Gaza Medical Mutual Aid Fundraiser Screening and Discussion: Severed (2025)

  • Making Worlds Bookstore & Social Center 210 South 45th Street Philadelphia, PA, 19104 United States (map)

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED!

The Healing Hands Fund (H2F) was started by healthcare workers in Philly committed to supporting healthcare workers, organizations, and hospitals in Palestine. We are fundraising for prosthetic services in Gaza, where there is the largest number of child amputees in the world.

We invite you to a screening of the film Severed. Proceeds go towards our medical mutual aid in Gaza and a portion towards supporting Making Worlds programming. Healing Hands volunteers will facilitate a short community reflection and discussion afterwards.

FILM SYNOPSIS

Severed (2025) is a powerful new short documentary that follows Mohamad Saleh, a teenager from Gaza who lost his leg at 12 and survived five Israeli military assaults. In those attacks, he lost his home, close family members, and best friends. His story is both deeply personal and emblematic of the thousands of Palestinians disabled by Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza.
